Deep Sea reef and light game Fishing. Half day Afternoon Fishing Charter departs at 11:00 am. (please arrive by 10:40am) We head out from the Spit Pontoon and out through the Gold Coast Seaway to the local fishing grounds for an exciting half day of deep sea reef and game Fishing. Our 5 hour afternoon fishing trips are perfect for both beginners and expert fisherman alike, or those that have limited time available and need the morning free. Our friendly professional Skipper and deckhand will show you the best techniques for catching a wide variety of bottom dwelling and pelagic fish species. Target species include Cobia, Mackerel, Marlin, Teraglin, Tuskfish, Snapper, Jewfish, Tuna, Wahoo, Tailor, Trevally and many more. Great fun for the whole family, individual and group bookings available.
Inclusions: All bait and fishing tackle, ice cold bottled water, full tuition, legal fish gutted, gilled and bagged.
General Guidelines:We advise all of our clients to listen closely to our experienced crews to ensure your safety while out on the water, we will brief you on safety equipment and how to use it before departure. Once we arrive at fishing grounds our crew will demonstrate and explain safe and correct methods of how to use our deep sea fishing tackle. We advise all passengers to bring a hat and sunscreen for your own protection from harmful UV rays. Our boat is in current Queensland department of transport survey and is fully equipped with all required safety equipment, on board toilet, padded seats and full cover for protection from the elements.
Departure Time: 11 am sharp, please arrive at jetty by 10.40am.
Weather conditions: We do not fish if strong winds or big seas are forecast. It is very important that you provide a phone number that we can contact you on the night before your trip in case the charter has to be re scheduled or cancelled in the event of bad weather. We only cancel if high winds and/or big seas are forecast. We do not cancel if it’s raining, if rain is forecast we advise that you bring a suitable jacket or rain coat.
Departure point: The Spit pontoon Muriel Henchman Drive Main Beach 4217 Go past SeaWorld Nara Resort, look for blue sign with boat ramp/Charter boats, turn left at Muriel Henchman drive. Parking available., don't park in trailer bays or you may be fined. Please note, the boat does not live here permanently, its a public pick up jetty, please wait at top of jetty ramp.
